Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Laong Laan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dave Dori!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laan misses with a low kick.
Laan throws a head kick that misses.
Laan chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Laan catches Dori with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Laan moves out of range of the body kick.
Laan blocks the body kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Dori.
No joy there for Dori, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Laan misses with a low kick.
Dori blocks a head kick by Laan.
Dori misses with a head kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Laan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Dori has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Dori and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Dori looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dori uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Laan.
Dori checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Laan connects with a right hand. Dori shakes it off.
Laan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dori.
Laan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Dori.
Laan blocks a head kick by Dori.
Laan lands with an uppercut that bounces Dori off the cage and back into rage.
Dori tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Laan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dori. That did some damage!
Laan throws a leg kick but Dori sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Dori throws a sloppy head kick and Laan moves out of range easily.
Laan misses with a looping left.
Laan blocks a head kick by Dori.
Laan connects with a solid leg kick.
Dori looks gassed!
Dori throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dave Dori is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dori on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Laan throws a nice inside leg kick.
Laan sends Dori crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Laan is motioning to the referee to let Dori up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Dori is rocked!
It looks like Dave Dori has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Laan scoring well with a low kick there.
Dori is still on wobbly legs! Can Laan finish him?
Dori takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Dori seems to have recovered his senses.
Laan scores with a shot to the body.

Laan takes a swing at Dori's ribcage but misses.

Laan gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Laan has hold of Dori's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Dori tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Laan cranks the arm and Dori screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Dori, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Laong Laan!
