Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jienaro Carlo Marfil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nichiren Daishonin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marfil comes to the cage accompanied by Bagsakan. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daishonin moves out of range as Marfil throws a body kick.
Daishonin tries to clinch up but Marfil circles away and keeps his distance.

Daishonin tries to close the distance and clinch but Marfil swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Marfil fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Daishonin is out of range.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Daishonin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Marfil walks away with a smile on his face. Daishonin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Marfil.
Marfil throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Daishonin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Marfil holds on and takes a little breather.

That was a close round but I would say that Jienaro Carlo Marfil will probably get the nod.

Daishonin shoots in for a takedown but Marfil shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
