Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Higashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tennis Tim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gangsta bitch kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Higashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tennis Tim! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Higashi wants to clinch up but Tim keeps it at a distance. Higashi throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
The fight stays on the outside here - Higashi looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tim showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Higashi.
Higashi tries to clinch up. Tim has closed the distance and engaged Higashi in a clinch.
Higashi has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Higashi manages to break the clinch.
Tim attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Higashi wants to clinch and Tim counters with a takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Higashi is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tim is controlling him well. Tim controls the position from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Higashi is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tim asserts his dominance and retains side control. Higashi on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The referee asks Tim politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tim prefers to stall for the moment though. Higashi pushes Tim away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Tim gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Tim is working to tighten is grip on Higashi's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Higashi has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Tim is really squeezing tight and eventually Higashi passes out! Tim breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Tennis Tim!
