Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Night (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fresh Hamz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Night comes to the cage accompanied by Praise - Seven Dust. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fresh Hamz! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hamz looks to score with a jab to the body but Night is just out of range. Hamz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hamz throws out a loose jab but Night uses good head movement to avoid it. Good exchange - Hamz coming out on top. Hamz swings for the body but Night moves out of range.
Hamz doesn't manage to clinch there - Night circles away.
A combination from Hamz does no damage. Hamz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Night was well out of range. Poor timing from Hamz. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hamz throws a looping overhand right but Night ducks down to avoid it. Fresh Hamz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hamz throws a series of punches but Night avoids them all with ease. Hamz throws a hook but Night avoids it easily.

Hamz fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Night looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Night shoots for a takedown but Hamz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Night blocks a low kick nicely. Hamz is looking to slow Night down with leg kicks. Hamz stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Night. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hamz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Night was well out of range. Night misses with a straight left. Night shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hamz as he jumps to the side. Hamz closes the distance and lands a one-two. Night dodges the punch combination from Hamz.

Night blocks a leg kick. Hamz throws a solid leg kick but Night takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hamz. Night takes a jab right on the kisser.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hamz misses with a hook. Night ducked under it nicely. Hamz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Night fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hamz sprawls well initially but Night persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Night is pressing down on Hamz's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hamz is holding on for now. Hamz wants to improve his position but Night is controlling well.
Night seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hamz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Night wants to take a breather but Hamz is having none of it. Hamz is looking for a sweep. Night is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Frank Night has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Night wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hamz keeps working. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hamz can do anything to dispel that myth. Hamz has his hands clasped together around Night's back. He's all about the action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Hamz!
