Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smeer misses with a takedown attempt - Salcedo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Smeer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Salcedo as he jumps to the side.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Smeer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Salcedo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Smeer.

Frank Smeer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Salcedo tries to hold on but Smeer pushes him away.

Smeer with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Smeer is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Salcedo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Salcedo reaches up to try and control the position but Smeer seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Salcedo rolls and tries to escape and now Smeer has his back!

Smeer is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Salcedo defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Smeer is hanging on to Salcedo's back as he tries to escape.
Smeer is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Smeer gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Smeer gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Smeer apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Salcedo gets caught flat footed, as Smeer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Salcedo wants to stand and escape but Smeer is having none of it.

Smeer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smeer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Smeer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Frank Smeer showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Smeer has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
