Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
HATFIELD misses with a wild combination.
Rothgard looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
HATFIELD throws a head kick but Rothgard moves out of range.
Rothgard looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
HATFIELD is looking to stand up but Rothgard isn't so interested in that idea.
HATFIELD looking to control.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now HATFIELD is on top in guard.
HATFIELD works over Rothgard with some ground and pound from guard.
HATFIELD has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rothgard is proving hard to escape from.
HATFIELD tries to free his leg and advance position but Rothgard is retaining full guard.

HATFIELD wants to control from the top but Rothgard keeps moving.
HATFIELD is looking to stand up but Rothgard won't let him.
HATFIELD gets to his feet - Rothgard follows without any prompting.
HATFIELD tries a head kick but it misses.
HATFIELD tries to clinch but Rothgard moves out of range.

RUDY HATFIELD seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
HATFIELD tries to close the distance and clinch but Rothgard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rothgard moves out of range of the body kick.
HATFIELD throws a wild body kick that Rothgard sees coming a mile off.
HATFIELD lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Lewis Rothgard has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
HATFIELD looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rothgard moves out of range of the body kick.
Rothgard takes a head kick and keeps coming.

HATFIELD misses with a body kick.
HATFIELD tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rothgard clinches with his opponent.
HATFIELD is looking to break free of the clinch but Rothgard has double underhooks.
HATFIELD lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
HATFIELD wants to get back to striking at distance but Rothgard won't allow it.
HATFIELD escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rothgard shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Rothgard dodges the punch combination from HATFIELD.
Rothgard shoots in and bounces HATFIELD off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Rothgard stands and steps away. HATFIELD gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The fight stays on the outside here - Rothgard looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A head kick misses from HATFIELD.
HATFIELD explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
HATFIELD throws a sloppy head kick and Rothgard moves out of range easily.
HATFIELD misses with a looping right.
HATFIELD thows a body kick. Rothgard tries to catch it but that hurt him.
HATFIELD pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by HATFIELD!
Rothgard changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. HATFIELD looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
HATFIELD is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rothgard has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Rothgard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. HATFIELD knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Rothgard thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Rothgard decides to stand up, so the ref orders HATFIELD to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
RUDY HATFIELD dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Lewis Rothgard's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
HATFIELD lands with a kick to the ribs.
HATFIELD lands a left and a right that sends Rothgard crashing to the canvas! HATFIELD dives into mount looking to finish!
The referee warns Rothgard that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Rothgard is rocked!
HATFIELD looking to control but Rothgard is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
HATFIELD wants to stand but Rothgard is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Rothgard wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
HATFIELD is working for a rear naked choke. Rothgard is not defending it well and HATFIELD has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Rothgard refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Rothgard's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
