Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrick Grey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, George St Pierre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Derrick Grey! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Grey is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Grey is looking to advance position but St Pierre has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! St Pierre wants to take his opponent's back but Grey doesn't allow it. St Pierre avoids the attempt from Grey to control. Grey can't escape the position.
St Pierre is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Grey to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Grey shrugs it off.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre tries to control but Grey wriggling away. St Pierre putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Grey blocking the ground and pound. St Pierre misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Grey can do anything to dispel that myth. Grey is wriggling around trying to escape.

Grey stops St Pierre from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Grey is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. St Pierre working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Grey is looking to improve his position but St Pierre isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. St Pierre takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. St Pierre fails to advance to Grey's back. Grey is trying desperately to improve position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grey looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight. St Pierre is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. St Pierre is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Grey to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Grey shrugs it off. St Pierre is breathing heavily. Poor strikes thrown by St Pierre there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Grey prevents St Pierre from getting a body triangle. Grey tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Grey is in all sorts of trouble here.
Grey tries to hold on but St Pierre pushes him away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Grey is trying to escape the mount.
St Pierre avoids the attempt from Grey to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that George St Pierre will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Grey cracks a nice hook into St Pierre's ribs. St Pierre fails with the takedown so Grey counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Grey trying to control the position from guard on top but St Pierre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Grey lands a couple of decent looking shots. Grey must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grey wants to control from the top but St Pierre keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Grey is looking to work some ground and pound but St Pierre has wrist control. Grey controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Grey won't allow St Pierre to sweep him here. Grey showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Derrick Grey. Grey misses with a head kick.
Grey lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grey lands a slapping body shot.
St Pierre misses with a takedown and Grey counters with a nice double leg into half guard. St Pierre is trying to stand up here but Grey is controlling him well. Grey is pressing down on St Pierre's thigh, looking to free his foot. St Pierre is holding on for now. Grey is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grey is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Grey tries to stand but his arm is trapped. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Derrick Grey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Grey clinches up with St Pierre and pushes him back against the cage. St Pierre is pressed up against the cage. Grey has hold of a leg and is looking to drag St Pierre down to the mat. St Pierre avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. St Pierre misses with a takedown and Grey counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Grey. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. St Pierre drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Grey gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Grey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Both fighters are breathing heavily. St Pierre has his takedown stuffed and Grey counters with a head kick. That will keep St Pierre thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George St Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Grey to score an easy takedown into full guard. St Pierre looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Grey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. St Pierre swivels though and keeps the full guard. Grey sitting in guard, not really doing much.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Grey's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Derrick Grey. Grey wants to clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Derrick Grey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Grey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
