Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between DJ Rodreguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Loggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loggins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rodreguez as he avoids it easily.
Rodreguez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Loggins swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rodreguez is looking to clinch.
Rodreguez wants to clinch up but Loggins keeps it at a distance.
Loggins takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Kenny Loggins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Loggins shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rodreguez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rodreguez wants to clinch.

Loggins jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rodreguez is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rodreguez and Loggins has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Rodreguez could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kenny Loggins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Rodreguez walks straight into a right hand from Loggins - that's dropped him! Loggins jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Rodreguez from any more punishment! Rodreguez complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
