With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tairy Greene!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bustamante checks the leg kick.
Bustamante changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Bustamante throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Bustamante thows a body shot but no joy.

Greene shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bustamante avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Greene.
Bustamante wants to get back to full guard.
Greene seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bustamante does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Greene missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Bustamante looks like he's trying to stand up.
Greene is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Greene is looking for a kimura here.

Greene is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bustamante is just riding it out for now. Greene eventually gives up the hold.
Bustamante on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bustamante tries to get out of the position.
Greene thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Greene is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Greene not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Bustamante is trying to stand up here but Greene is controlling him well.

Greene is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Greene is controlling the pace.
Greene has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bustamante is refusing to be controlled, as Greene sits in half guard.
Bustamante is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Greene not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bustamante is looking to control Greene's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bustamante avoid being mounted?
Greene content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Greene passes to side control.
You can see the frustration on Bustamante's face as Greene controls the position.
Bustamante takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Greene thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Greene misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bustamante will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
