Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mat Luna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and White Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Luna might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Them Bones. Mat Luna could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to White Power's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mat Luna! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, White Power! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Luna swinging wildly here.
Luna swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Power shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Luna as he jumps to the side. Power on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Luna. Luna obviously looking to wear him down.
Luna misses with a wild combination.
Power dodges the punch combination from Luna.
Luna will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Power bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Power prevents Luna from escaping the position. Power tries for a kimura but Luna is defending well. Power looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Power is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Luna knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Luna is trying to get back to his feet. Power working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Luna pushes Power away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Power gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Luna struggling a bit here. Luna wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nice shot by Luna. Luna gets a takedown into half guard. Luna knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Power on the ground. Luna is controlling the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Luna throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Power actively working from the bottom here. Luna trying to mount his opponent but Power defends it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Power wants to get back to full guard. Luna wants to take a breather but Power is having none of it. Luna misses with a head shot. Power uses the momentum to regain guard. Luna stopping the sweep attempt from Power. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mat Luna dominated that round. That's time! Luna's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Good shot there by Luna. Luna connects with the punch. Luna uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Power has time to react. Some wild striking there from Luna.
Luna tries to clinch but Power moves out of range. Luna throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Power. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Power shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Luna's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luna trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Power postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Luna is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Power, into his guard. Power working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Luna. Luna postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Power manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Luna manages to get himself to full guard.
Power trying to move into half guard but instead Luna has managed to sweep! Luna's corner is telling him to maintain position. Luna trying to control the position from guard on top but Power is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Power preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Luna throws a big right hand that misses. Luna has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Power controls Luna momentarily but Luna frees himself. Luna stopping the sweep attempt from Power.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Luna misses with a wild body shot. Power misses with a takedown and Luna counters with a three punch combo that has Power backing up. Power nods at Luna to acknowledge the strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Power misses with a takedown attempt and Luna counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Luna scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Power looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Luna! Luna tries to hold on but Power pushes him away. Power is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Luna to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Luna shrugs it off. Luna wants to try and get back to his feet. Power looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Power moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Luna has worked his arm free - good work by Luna!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mat Luna will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Mat Luna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Luna throws a right hand that Power ducks under and follows up with a left that Power also avoids with ease. Some wild striking there from Luna.

Power blocking the ground and pound attempt from Luna. Luna trying to pass the guard but Power defending well. Power is staying active underneath Luna, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Luna not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Power is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Luna is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Luna has escaped and now he's on top! Power avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

And that's the end of the fight! Mat Luna showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Luna, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
