Parker's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Captain America. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stephen Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tubbs McCoy!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Dean Styles and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parker drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

McCoy is looking for a triangle but Parker pushes his legs off easily.
Parker wants to control from the top but McCoy keeps moving.
Parker throws a big right hand that misses.
McCoy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
McCoy is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parker looking to sit in guard and control but McCoy gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
McCoy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
McCoy stopping the sweep attempt from Parker.

Parker looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Parker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McCoy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Parker is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Parker is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Parker looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Parker is breathing heavily.
McCoy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Parker is striking off his back. McCoy thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
McCoy keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

McCoy seems to be working for a kimura but Parker defends the submission attempt.
McCoy is looking to stall here but Parker recovers full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McCoy controlling from the top position.
McCoy wants to control from the top but Parker keeps moving.
Parker being controlled here, momentarily.

Parker throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! McCoy escapes and throws Parker's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Parker is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
McCoy blocks the strikes from Parker.
McCoy performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tubbs McCoy just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
McCoy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Parker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McCoy but McCoy pushes him off and we're back to square one.

McCoy scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

McCoy decides to stand and escape the position.
Stephen Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McCoy feints and as Parker raises his hands in defense, McCoy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
McCoy lands a couple of elbows.
McCoy stands up over Parker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
McCoy controls from within his opponent's guard.
Parker thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Parker looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but McCoy puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Parker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
McCoy moves into full mount! Parker won't be happy about that!
Parker is trying to reverse the position but instead McCoy has taken his back - oops!
McCoy is trying to stick to Parker's back but Parker is turning into McCoy. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in McCoy's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Parker.
McCoy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Parker throwing strikes but missing.
Parker is pushing down on McCoy's leg trying to pass to half guard. McCoy is fighting to maintain full guard but Parker has managed to sneak the leg through.
Parker sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McCoy defending well though.
McCoy keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Parker thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

McCoy is defending against the submission attempts here by Parker.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Parker trying to control from half guard but McCoy is working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tubbs McCoy dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Parker shoots and misses

and McCoy counters with a shoot takedown. Parker fights it but they end up in guard.
McCoy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
McCoy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Parker swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McCoy stopping the sweep attempt from Parker.
Parker lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for McCoy!
Parker lands a nice shot to the head.


McCoy is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Parker has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McCoy's face.
McCoy is still in real trouble! Can Parker finish him?
McCoy is bucking up trying to escape but Parker cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
McCoy is in a horrible position here. Parker smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Parker breaks from McCoy's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Parker is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but McCoy is surviving well by controlling Parker's body position as best he can.
McCoy working to try and regain half guard.
McCoy should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Parker landing strikes from the mount and McCoy is in trouble!

Parker is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but McCoy is surviving well by controlling Parker's body position as best he can.

Parker moves to take his opponent's back.
Stephen Parker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Parker is working the ground and pound. Can McCoy escape?

Parker has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. McCoy is defending well but eventually Parker manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! McCoy has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
