Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Nealy!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nealy connects with a crisp jab.
Tom Nealy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nealy looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range.
Jones shoots in but Nealy avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nealy slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Nealy takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Nealy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jones postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Nealy looks a forlorn figure.

Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jones has hold of Nealy's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nealy manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Nealy is trying to escape the mount.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jones looking for a guillotine from mount but Nealy is having none of it.

Jones tries to control but Nealy wriggling away.

Nealy tries to reverse the position but Jones maintains control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nealy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Nealy is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Jones lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Nealy really wants to buck Jones off and get back to his feet.

Nealy sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Nealy tries to kick Jones off in order to stand up. Jones Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Jones in side control, throwing shots but Nealy defends.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nealy can do anything to dispel that myth.
Nealy tries to bench press Jones off him but Jones keeps the position.

Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Nealy tries to improve position but can't.
Jones prevents Nealy from escaping the position.
Nealy is looking to reverse the position.
Nealy striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Nealy managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Jones.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Nealy scores with a jab to the body.
Jones has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jones there as he acknowledges the shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones moves out of range of the strikes.
Nealy lands a lovely overhand right.
Nealy lands a slapping body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tom Nealy dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Nealy with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Nealy connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nealy defends it nicely.
Nealy jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nealy is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Nealy circles away and we're back to standing.
Nealy scores with a punch to the head.


It looks like Marcus Jones has been cut.
Jones moves forwards but Nealy connects with a nice, crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nealy drops Jones with a beautiful combination! Jones stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Nealy is looking for the KO!


Jones is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jones moves out of range as Nealy strikes.
Jones takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Nealy is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Nealy sends Jones crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Nealy is motioning to the referee to let Jones up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Nealy drops Jones with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Jones looks back up at him and smiles so Nealy waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Nealy throws a monster overhand right that drops Jones! Nealy follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Nealy!
