Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleks Malinkovikh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Staal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Malinkovikh might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Disturbed - Down with the sickness. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aleks Malinkovikh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Staal! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Staal throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Staal throws a lazy right hand but Malinkovikh sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Staal closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Malinkovikh wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Staal lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Staal in side control, throwing shots but Malinkovikh defends. Staal misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Staal is chipping away with strikes.
Staal scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Malinkovikh to see if he's OK. Staal throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Malinkovikh trying to remain calm as Staal controls from the top position. Staal landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Staal happy to just control the position for now. Malinkovikh tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Staal tries to get the hooks in deep but Malinkovikh pushed the leg off. Staal gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Malinkovikh is covering up but some of the strikes from Staal are getting through and doing damage.
Malinkovikh has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Staal should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Staal is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Malinkovikh. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Malinkovikh preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Staal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Malinkovikh is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. The referee is taking a good look at Malinkovikh as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Staal!
Staal working for the choke. Malinkovikh is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Staal throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Malinkovikh!
Staal really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Malinkovikh. Malinkovikh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Staal on the ground. Staal is cranking Malinkovikh's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Malinkovikh! He's tightened the choke and Malinkovikh is tapping out!
