Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alex Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Carpio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vargas's entrance music is When it Cuts -- Ill Nino. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Carpio's choice of entrance music: Rico Swave. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Carpio throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Carpio lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Vargas has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Vargas and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Vargas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carpio keeps working.
Vargas is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Carpio still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Carpio has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

That was a close round but I would say that Alex Vargas will probably get the nod.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
