Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sanjay Patel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and shawn mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patel comes into the arena with Did My Time by Korn blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Eddie Farnsworth and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patel throws a nice outside leg kick.
Patel is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Patel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Patel wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by mendes, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Patel throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Patel is looking to take a break and control but mendes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
mendes is trying to control Patel's posture but Patel avoids it.
mendes is not content to let Patel control the position.

mendes is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Patel to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Patel shrugs it off.

I would just about give that final round to shawn mendes.
I think mendes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
