The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richards misses with a straight right. A combination from Shrimp does no damage. Richards stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Richards scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Shrimp scores to the head and body with a nice combination! A nice combination there by Richards.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A head kick misses from Shrimp. Shrimp throws a half hearted mid kick. Richards misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Richards takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Shrimp throws a sloppy head kick and Richards moves out of range easily. Shrimp will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Richards throws a lazy right hand but Shrimp sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Richards shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shrimp as he avoids it easily. Richards avoids a punch combination nicely.

Richards looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shrimp with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Richards maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Shrimp could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Richards has cracked it and Shrimp is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Richards!
