Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kenta Tottori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenta Tottori!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Jones!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tottori avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jones tries to clinch there but Tottori circles away.
Tottori throws a front kick aimed at Jones's knee but Jones avoids it well.
Jones looks for a takedown but Tottori sprawls well.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tottori paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Tottori. No joy for Jones on that attempt.
Tottori defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.
Kenta Tottori has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Jones.
Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tottori's waist but Tottori gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.

Tottori gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Tottori looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Tottori looking for a sweep. Not yet Tottori, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tottori is working hard here to advance position.
Jones connects with a couple of short punches.
Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Tottori.
Tottori lands a decent punch to the body there.
Jones tries to stand but Tottori is controlling from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tottori is on top in guard.
Tottori advances to half guard.
Jones on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Tottori is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jones is just riding it out for now. Tottori eventually gives up the hold.
Tottori throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely.
Jones misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Tottori works his foot free and advances to mount.
Jones is looking to get to half guard.

Jones is trying desperately to improve position.

Tottori lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jones hang on?
Tottori cracks Jones with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jones tries to hold on but Tottori postures up.
Tottori has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jones's face.


Jones is rocked!

Jones is still in real trouble! Can Tottori finish him?
Jones can't escape the position.
Tottori has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tottori landing punches.
Jones is looking to improve his position but Tottori isn't that keen on the idea.
Tottori landing strikes from the mount and Jones is in trouble!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tottori postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Jones badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Tottori around the waist but Tottori pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Tottori is the winner by TKO! Tottori jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenta Tottori!
Kenta Tottori retains his bantamweight title!
