Robertson comes to the cage accompanied by State of the union by Rise Against. Josh Robertson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rob Tate's chin.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rob Tate!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Robertson misses with a hook. Tate ducked under it nicely.

Robertson closes the distance and clinches.
Tate goes for a takedown in the clinch but Robertson prevents it.

Tate gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tate accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tate throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Robertson's waist but Robertson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tate off to one side.

Tate fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Robertson sprawls well initially but Tate persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Josh Robertson will probably get the nod.
