Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob McGrady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adin Wrenton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adin Wrenton will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adin Wrenton! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wrenton closes this distance looking for a takedown but McGrady circles away. McGrady drops his hands momentarily and Wrenton takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Wrenton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McGrady paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wrenton misses with a wild combination.
Wrenton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McGrady was well out of range. Poor timing from Wrenton. Wrenton looks to land a combination but McGrady avoids it well. Wrenton throws a right and a left that both miss. McGrady looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Wrenton! McGrady sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Wrenton doing his best to control the position. Can he escape? Wrenton is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

McGrady trying to control but he's not successful this time. Wrenton tries to reverse the position but McGrady maintains control. McGrady misses with some ground and pound and Wrenton recovers position to half guard. McGrady thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Wrenton misses with a double jab.
McGrady uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wrenton. A telegraphed right hand from Wrenton misses the target. McGrady misses with a wild body shot. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Wrenton!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wrenton throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McGrady sees it coming and avoids it easily. Wrenton swings and misses with a shot to the body and McGrady counters with a single leg into guard. Wrenton didn't expect that. Wrenton avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. McGrady is looking to work some ground and pound but Wrenton has wrist control. McGrady pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wrenton is keeping the position for now. McGrady sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wrenton's guard. McGrady not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. McGrady sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wrenton defending well though. McGrady wants to take a breather but Wrenton is having none of it. McGrady sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Wrenton throws a jab when McGrady was well out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wrenton swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McGrady counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Wrenton displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. A jab from Wrenton misses. Wrenton throws a big shot that misses. McGrady darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Wrenton throws a lazy right hand but McGrady sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. McGrady uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wrenton. McGrady uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wrenton. The fight stays on the outside here - Wrenton looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wrenton misses with a straight left. Wrenton throws out a loose jab but McGrady uses good head movement to avoid it. McGrady shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wrenton is trying to defend but McGrady finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bob McGrady will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Wrenton misses with an uppercut. Wrenton wants to clinch but McGrady slips to the side and McGrady decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wrenton's guard. McGrady postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. McGrady wants to control from the top but Wrenton keeps moving. McGrady is really struggling to control Wrenton but he's trying to hold on to the position. Wrenton keeping full guard, as McGrady tries to pass. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McGrady accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Wrenton uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McGrady's guard. Nice move by Wrenton! McGrady keeping moving, preventing Wrenton from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wrenton tries to clinch but McGrady moves out of range. Wrenton throws a jab but it's blocked by McGrady. Wrenton misses with a looping right.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Wrenton throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McGrady sees it coming and avoids it easily. Wrenton is looking to clinch but McGrady is avoiding it.
Excellent takedown into side control there by McGrady. McGrady wants to control for a moment but Wrenton uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. McGrady not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. McGrady tries to pass to full mount but Wrenton defends it. Wrenton is looking to improve his position.

And that's the end of the fight! Bob McGrady showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for McGrady, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
