Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zaney Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thorstein Olafsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Olafsson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Twilight of the Thunder God. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zaney Bob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thorstein Olafsson! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Olafsson keeps the fight on the outside. Bob lands a lovely overhand right. Bob throws a right and a left that both miss. Bob tries to close the distance and clinch but Olafsson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bob tries to clinch but Olafsson is having none of it. Olafsson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A left lands for Bob. Bob tries to clinch but Olafsson moves out of range. Olafsson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bob uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Olafsson.
A shot to the body from Bob misses and Olafsson counters with a stiff right hand. Bob wants to clinch and Olafsson counters with a nice body shot. Bob darts in trying to clinch and Olafsson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Zaney Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bob throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Olafsson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bob tries to clinch there but Olafsson circles away.
Olafsson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bob. Bob tries to clinch and Olafsson counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bob bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Olafsson's guard. Bob stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Olafsson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bob is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Bob sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Olafsson's guard. Olafsson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Bob working over Olafsson with some ground and pound. Olafsson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Olafsson won't allow Bob to pass to mount. Bob throwing shots but Olafsson is blocking nicely. Olafsson is trying to get back to full guard. Bob tries to pass the half guard into mount. Olafsson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Olafsson wants to get back to his feet.
Bob looks to land a strike but Olafsson avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Bob slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bob fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Olafsson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Bob is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Olafsson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Who's going to make the next move?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Bob looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Olafsson is avoiding damage well.
Olafsson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bob off and has taken his back! Olafsson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bob. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Olafsson misses with a punch to the head. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bob turns into Olafsson and is now in his guard.
Olafsson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Olafsson is working an open guard so Bob takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Bob tries to clinch but Olafsson moves away and Olafsson counters with a lovely straight right hand! A combination from Bob does no damage. The fight stays on the outside here - Bob looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bob swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Olafsson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bob tries to clinch but fails miserably enabling Olafsson to counter with a crisp jab. Zaney Bob is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bob closes the distance looking to clinch and Olafsson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Olafsson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bob wants to clinch letting Olafsson counter with a right hand. Bob wants to clinch but Olafsson slips to the side letting Olafsson counter with a right hand. Olafsson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bob had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Bob fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Olafsson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Bob closes the distance looking to clinch and Olafsson counters with a single leg into guard. Bob didn't expect that. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bob pulls Olafsson in close to prevent any damage. Bob looking to control.

Thorstein Olafsson dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Bob looks to clinch and Olafsson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bob shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Olafsson circles away from the clinch attempt enabling Olafsson to counter with a crisp jab. Bob throws a combination that misses and Olafsson counters with a stiff right hand. Bob throws a jab but it's blocked by Olafsson.

Olafsson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bob tries to clinch but Olafsson moves away and Olafsson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Olafsson. Bob trying to keep a closed guard but Olafsson is proving a slippery customer.
Bob manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Olafsson manages to get himself to full guard.

Olafsson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bob postures up in Olafsson's guard and throws a big left but Olafsson blocks it. Bob stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Olafsson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bob thows a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bob advances to half guard. Bob wants to advance to full mount but Olafsson doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Bob drops back looking for a leg! Olafsson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Olafsson manages to kick Bob off! Bob jumps back into Olafsson's guard. Bob thows a big elbow that misses. Bob prevents Olafsson from getting back to his feet. Bob sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Olafsson's guard. Thorstein Olafsson has got the better of the ground game so far. Bob is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Olafsson still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Olafsson has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bob taking punishment in the form of punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob tries to improve position but can't. Olafsson working the head with strikes. Olafsson wants to control but Bob is keeping him busy. Olafsson working away. Bob stops Olafsson from passing to mount. Olafsson trying to control the action but Bob is working from the bottom. Olafsson controlling the position from side mount.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bob tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Olafsson counter with a right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bob closes the distance but Olafsson moves to the side and Olafsson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bob throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Olafsson counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bob pulls Olafsson in close to his closed guard and prevents Olafsson from doing any damage or advancing position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bob is on top in guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Bob landing with the ground and pound. Bob passes easily into side control. Nice work. Bob wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Olafsson, who protects the arm well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bob lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Olafsson down.

Thorstein Olafsson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Olafsson prevents Bob from improving his position. Bob taking some punishment here, with Olafsson in his half guard. Bob is looking to control Olafsson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bob avoid being mounted? Both fighters are breathing heavily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Bob is looking to clinch but Olafsson is avoiding it.

Bob tries to clinch up and Olafsson counters with a nice uppercut. Olafsson throws a right hand that Bob ducks under and follows up with a left that Bob also avoids with ease. Bob throws a hook to the side of Olafsson's head but Olafsson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob jabs at Olafsson's body. Bob tries to clinch and Olafsson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Olafsson. Bob is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bob is pulling down on Olafsson's head. It's preventing any offense from Olafsson, at least for the moment. Olafsson trying to control the position from guard on top but Bob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bob trying to control the position.
Bob lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Olafsson! Bob has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Olafsson's face.
Bob has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bob thowing shots but they're missing. Thorstein Olafsson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Bob with shots to the head and body - Olafsson looks very uncomfortable down there. Bob throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Olafsson manages to regain half guard. Good work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Olafsson wants to control but Bob is keeping busy and won't allow it. Bob is nestled in close to Olafsson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
And that's the end of the fight! Thorstein Olafsson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Olafsson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
