The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Norrad escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kurczakowski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Norrad shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kurczakowski is trying to defend but Norrad finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Norrad is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kurczakowski has momentary wrist control but Norrad slips an elbow through the middle.
Norrad content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Kurczakowski is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Norrad won't allow Kurczakowski to get back to his feet.
Kurczakowski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That was a close round but I would say that Willis Norrad will probably get the nod.

Kurczakowski is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Norrad has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Kurczakowski is looking to defend but Norrad has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Kurczakowski! Norrad pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Kurczakowski taps out and this one is all over!
