Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Flint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cleetus Van Damn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flint comes into the arena with Benga & Coki - Night blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Flint!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cleetus Van Damn!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Van Damn with that takedown attempt.
Flint lands a nice leg kick that just misses Van Damn's sensitive parts.
Van Damn ducks under a wild hook from Flint.
Van Damn changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Flint looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Flint tries to close the distance and clinch but Van Damn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Flint doesn't manage to clinch there - Van Damn circles away.

Van Damn feints and as Flint raises his hands in defense, Van Damn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Van Damn slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Flint utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Van Damn prevents Flint from getting back to his feet.
Flint can't keep his opponent in guard - Van Damn advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Van Damn steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Flint. That one must have hurt.
Flint stuffs the takedown attempt from Van Damn. Van Damn gets slowly back to his feet.
Flint slaps away a takedown attempt from Van Damn, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Van Damn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Flint walks away with a smile on his face. Van Damn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Van Damn shoots for a double leg takedown but Flint sprawls well. He's pushed Van Damn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Flint punishes Van Damn's body with a nice straight punch.

Flint will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Van Damn up against the ropes.

That's time! Flint's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Cleetus Van Damn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Van Damn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Flint tries to avoid it but Van Damn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Flint to the ground. Flint escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Van Damn throws a strike aimed at the side of Flint's head but Flint avoids it well.
Van Damn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
You can see the frustration on Flint's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Flint regains half guard, as Van Damn was trying to land strikes.
Van Damn thows a huge punch but Flint dodges it nicely.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Flint.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Flint, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
