Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Otis Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Murpy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gein's entrance music is Puritania. A fine choice. Murpy has chosen Victory as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gein tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Murpy swivels and escapes. Murpy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Murpy works his way into full mount! Murpy goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Gein is on top in guard.

He's hooked one of Murpy's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Murpy's back! Gein has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Murpy has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Otis Gein overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Murpy is keeping busy.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Gein is looking to land body kicks. Gein throws an overhand right that lands on Murpy's shoulder, as Murpy tries to avoid the shot. Murpy has his takedown stuffed and Gein counters with a lovely shot to the body. Gein throws a looping overhand right but Murpy ducks down to avoid it. Gein is looking to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Gein has his hands clasped together but Murpy extends an breaks Gein's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Murpy.
