The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
joyce stuffs the takedown attempt from Yahya. Yahya gets slowly back to his feet.
joyce keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

joyce controls Yahya momentarily but Yahya frees himself.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Yahya doesn't manage to clinch there - joyce circles away.
Yahya takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Yahya tries to score a power double leg takedown but joyce sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Yahya somewhat.
Yahya is breathing heavily.
joyce throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yahya sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Yahya tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Yahya gets caught flat footed, as joyce shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
joyce would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yahya wants to sweep here but joyce controlling him for the moment.

Yahya drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
joyce sneaks back into half guard.
Yahya wants to pass to mount but joyce is defending the position.

joyce tries to kick Yahya off but Yahya keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Yahya has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can joyce defend it? Yahya steps over the head and cranks it - joyce is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Yahya!
