Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Takumi Gunma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hernan Sallazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hernan Sallazar struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 147.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sallazar shoots in but Gunma avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gunma clinches with his opponent.
Gunma is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sallazar can't fight it off and eventually Gunma manages to take the fight to the floor. Sallazar looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Gunma thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Sallazar looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Gunma lands a couple of elbows.
Gunma drops back looking for a leg! Sallazar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sallazar manages to kick Gunma off! Gunma jumps back into Sallazar's guard.
Gunma lands a couple of digs.
Sallazar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gunma drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Gunma seems to have locked his on tight now - Sallazar screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Gunma, as he picks up the win!
