PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samir Oheat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lisnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lisnar is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bring It On. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Brock Lisnar was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Samir Oheat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brock Lisnar!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oheat tries for a takedown but Lisnar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Oheat tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lisnar was well out of range. Poor timing from Oheat.
Oheat leaves Lisnar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Oheat misses with a takedown

and Lisnar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Oheat's guard.

Oheat looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Lisnar stands up from Oheat's guard - Lisnar perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lisnar checks the leg kick.
Lisnar wants to clinch.
Lisnar has his takedown stuffed
and Oheat counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Oheat tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Lisnar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Oheat won't be happy with that.
The referee asks Lisnar politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lisnar prefers to stall for the moment though.
Oheat tries to bench press Lisnar off him but Lisnar keeps the position.

Lisnar stands up and we're back to a striking position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lisnar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Oheat is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lisnar pulls his head out easily.
Lisnar tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Lisnar gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Oheat forces Lisnar back against the cage and clinches.
Oheat wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Oheat wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Oheat throws an elbow but it misses.
Lisnar drops down looking for an ankle pick but Oheat pulls his leg out and moves away.
Samir Oheat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock Lisnar.
Oheat connects with a solid leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Lisnar dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Lisnar shoots in and bounces Oheat off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Oheat has his foot on Lisnar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lisnar works his way back into a safe position though.
Lisnar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oheat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Oheat pushes Lisnar off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Lisnar feints and as Oheat raises his hands in defense, Lisnar changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lisnar looking to pass the guard.

Oheat looking for subs off his back but Lisnar has passed one foot through into half guard.
Lisnar slows the pace down in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Lisnar postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Oheat to stand up.
Samir Oheat is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oheat throws a nice inside leg kick.
Oheat clinches but Lisnar breaks the clinch

and Lisnar counters with a takedown into side control.

Lisnar stands up and beckons Oheat to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lisnar stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Oheat.
Lisnar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Oheat circles away.
Oheat misses with a takedown

so Lisnar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lisnar stands up and waves to Oheat to follow him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Lisnar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Oheat wants to clinch

and Lisnar counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Oheat's guard now.

Oheat working for a triangle but Lisnar defends it easily.

Lisnar gets to his feet. Oheat looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lisnar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lisnar is keen to just control but Oheat is a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Lisnar postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Oheat to stand up.
Lisnar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lisnar keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Oheat looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Oheat could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Oheat tries to clinch up.
Oheat attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Oheat is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Oheat throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lisnar.
Lisnar tries for a takedown but Oheat sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lisnar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Oheat swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Oheat misses with a low kick.
Lisnar avoids a kick to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
Brock Lisnar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Lisnar winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
