Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andres Bernardini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and nate rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andres Bernardini! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, nate rivera! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! rivera loads up on a big right hand but Bernardini slips the punch. Bernardini fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. rivera misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bernardini shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says rivera as he avoids it easily. rivera rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bernardini moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A looping hook to the body misses from rivera. Bernardini does a little dance to reset his feet. Bernardini shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. rivera defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andres Bernardini. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bernardini shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bernardini was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bernardini has hold of rivera's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and rivera manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Bernardini punching from mount but rivera doing a good job of avoiding damage. rivera really wants to buck Bernardini off and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bernardini is going oldschool here, as he tries to force rivera to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so rivera shrugs it off. rivera is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Bernardini locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! rivera is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Andres Bernardini!
