The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsotes has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Tsotes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Qualls misses with a looping left.
A big right from Qualls misses.
Tsotes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Qualls looks to score with a jab to the body but Tsotes is just out of range.
Tsotes steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Qualls.
Qualls doesn't manage to clinch there - Tsotes circles away.
Qualls tries to clinch but Tsotes is having none of it.
Tsotes ducks under a wild hook from Qualls.
Tsotes moves out of range as Qualls strikes.
Qualls cracks the inside of Tsotes's front leg.
Qualls wants to clinch.
Tsotes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Qualls.
Noah Qualls seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Qualls lands a left and a right that send Tsotes crashing to the mat, dazed. Qualls thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Tsotes is rocked!
It looks like Giurgous Tsotes has been cut.
Qualls sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Tsotes's defenses. It connects perfectly with Tsotes's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
