Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Quick Smalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Wallace will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quick Smalls!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace lands a lovely overhand right.

Smalls closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Smalls is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wallace is just riding it out for now. Smalls eventually gives up the hold.
Wallace wants to get back to full guard.
Smalls trying to control the action but Wallace is working from the bottom.
Smalls missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smalls seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wallace does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Smalls wants to pass to mount but Wallace is defending the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Wallace lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Smalls fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wallace avoids it really well and circles away.

Wallace looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Smalls steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wallace.

Smalls shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wallace defends it nicely.

Wallace really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smalls. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smalls wants to control but Wallace is having none of it.

Smalls tries to lock up and control but Wallace gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Smalls is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Wallace looking to control but Smalls is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Wallace has control of Smalls's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Smalls regains control of the situation pretty easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Smalls is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Smalls is looking to improve his position but Wallace isn't that keen on the idea.
Wallace punching from mount but Smalls doing a good job of avoiding damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smalls is looking to get to half guard.
Smalls is squirming around, avoiding Wallace's attempts to control the action.
Smalls slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Smalls is trying to control but can't.
Smalls tries to get to full guard but Wallace has control of the leg.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Smalls takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Wallace keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Mike Wallace seems to be getting the better of the standup.
A jab from Wallace finds it's way through Smalls's defenses.
Smalls shoots for a double leg takedown but Wallace sprawls well. He's pushed Smalls's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Wallace lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smalls circles away quickly and effectively.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Smalls on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Wallace scores with the left hand. Smalls knows he should have avoided that one.

Wallace throws a hook to the side of Smalls's head but Smalls sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Smalls is pressing down on Wallace's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wallace is holding on for now.

Smalls throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Wallace lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smalls circles away quickly and effectively.
Wallace connects with a nice looking jab.
Mike Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wallace lands a glancing blow to the side of Smalls's head.
Smalls shoots in for a takedown but Wallace shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Wallace tries to bum rush Smalls with a series of wild strikes but Smalls uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wallace thuds his right hand into Smalls's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Wallace lands an overhand right.
Smalls has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Smalls there as he acknowledges the shot.
Wallace jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Oh Smalls is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wallace thows a body shot but no joy.
Smalls seems to have got his legs back now.
Wallace digs a good body shot into Smalls's ribs.

Smalls feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Wallace stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Wallace shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Smalls manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Wallace lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Wallace rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smalls moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Smalls tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wallace just stands there and leans against the cage.

Smalls is working for takedown but Wallace is calmly controlling the position for now.
Wallace lands an elbow that stopped Smalls in his tracks for a moment.
Wallace has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Smalls looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Mike Wallace is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Mike Wallace comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Wallace winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
