Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Pharaoh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Graves's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I Want War by Pastor Troy. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, James Graves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Pharaoh! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Graves tries to clinch but Pharaoh moves out of range. Graves tries to clinch but Pharaoh moves out of range. Graves scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Pharaoh takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Graves tries to close the distance and clinch but Pharaoh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pharaoh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Graves stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pharaoh. Pharaoh is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Graves misses with a kick to the body.
Graves throws a series of punches but Pharaoh moves out of range. Graves pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Graves tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Pharaoh throws a head kick but Graves moves out of range.
Graves tries to clinch but fails miserably and Pharaoh counters with a shoot takedown. Graves fights it but they end up in guard. Pharaoh makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Pharaoh thows a big elbow that misses. Graves wants to get back to his feet but Pharaoh is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Pharaoh drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Graves dives on top into guard.

Pharaoh looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Graves passes into side control.
Pharaoh has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Graves is looking to take a break and control but Pharaoh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Graves working the body and head with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pharaoh is looking for a sweep. Pharaoh is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Graves is looking to take a break and control but Pharaoh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Graves swings around for an armbar but Pharaoh sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Graves's guard. Pharaoh forces his way into half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Graves has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pharaoh is working away from the top position though. Pharaoh is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Graves is just riding it out for now. Pharaoh eventually gives up the hold.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pharaoh looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Graves slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Graves working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pharaoh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pharaoh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Graves throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Pharaoh throws a sloppy head kick and Graves moves out of range easily. James Graves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Graves tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pharaoh was well out of range. Poor timing from Graves. A head kick by Graves misses and Pharaoh counters with a leg kick. Graves fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice body punch from Graves. Pharaoh pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Graves throws a nice looking combination but Pharaoh bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Graves misses with a head kick.

A head kick misses from Pharaoh. Graves throws a leg kick and Pharaoh finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. James Graves is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Graves moves out of range as Pharaoh throws a body kick.
Nice body kick from Pharaoh. Graves is looking to wear down Pharaoh with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Pharaoh keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Pharaoh tries to pass to full mount but Graves defends it. Pharaoh is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Pharaoh trying to control the position from guard on top but Graves is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pharaoh looking to pass the guard. Pharaoh has gone for a leg lock! Graves slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pharaoh's guard. Graves throwing strikes from guard but Pharaoh blocks nicely. Pharaoh wants to sweep here but Graves controlling him for the moment. Graves passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Graves seems to be working for a kimura but Pharaoh defends the submission attempt. Graves is just content to waste time from the top position. Pharaoh takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Graves landing with the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Graves lands a couple of elbows. Graves postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Pharaoh looking for a sweep. Not yet Pharaoh, not yet. Graves got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pharaoh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Graves has managed to get both his arms back between Pharaoh's legs - danger averted. Pharaoh is looking for a triangle but Graves pushes his legs off easily.
Pharaoh is breathing heavily. Pharaoh has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Graves can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Graves trying to control but Pharaoh is working from the bottom. Pharaoh has a closed guard, preventing Graves from standing up. Graves stopping the sweep attempt from Pharaoh. Steve Pharaoh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

and Pharaoh counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Graves looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Pharaoh puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Graves gets full guard. Pharaoh looking to pass the guard. Steve Pharaoh has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pharaoh trying to move into half guard but instead Graves has managed to sweep! Graves is pushing down on Pharaoh's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pharaoh is fighting to maintain full guard but Graves has managed to sneak the leg through. Pharaoh looking for subs from the bottom but Graves mounts him! Pharaoh takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pharaoh is looking to get to half guard. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Graves cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Graves working for a submission but Pharaoh is keeping him at bay. Pharaoh tries to reverse the position but Graves maintains control.

Pharaoh is desperately trying to improve his position but Graves has a good base and remains in mount. Pharaoh sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Graves sitting and controlling from the half guard. Graves wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pharaoh keeps working. Pharaoh has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Graves escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Graves!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Graves is looking to take a break and control but Pharaoh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Graves decides to take the fight back to the feet. Graves throws a right hand that Pharaoh ducks under and follows up with a left that Pharaoh also avoids with ease. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pharaoh crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Graves - the referee stops the clock and Pharaoh gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Graves. Pharaoh manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Pharaoh takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Pharaoh counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Graves lands a high kick!
Pharaoh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Graves tries to clinch but Pharaoh is having none of it. James Graves is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pharaoh takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Graves throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Graves throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pharaoh. Pharaoh drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Graves throws a head kick that misses and Pharaoh counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Pharaoh is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Graves doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pharaoh. Graves is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pharaoh's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pharaoh's back!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to James Graves. I think Pharaoh has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
