The crowd seem to be enjoying Taylor's choice of entrance music: New York - Empire state of mind. Patrick Gap has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor wants to clinch.
Taylor forces Gap back against the cage and clinches.
Taylor breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Taylor moves into range and clinches up with Gap.
Taylor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Taylor fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Taylor connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Taylor doesn't manage to clinch there - Gap circles away.

Taylor shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gap is trying to defend but Taylor finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Taylor wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Gap uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Taylor throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gap stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gap shoots in for a takedown but Taylor shows good takedown defense.
Taylor is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gap's half guard.
Taylor thows a huge punch but Gap dodges it nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Taylor throws a head kick that misses.
Gap sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Gap blocks a head kick by Taylor.
Taylor moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Patrick Gap is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Taylor's corner calls for a 1-2. Taylor obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Taylor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gap paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Taylor lands with a nice body punch.
Taylor shoots in but Gap avoids the takedown attempt easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Taylor goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Gap drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Taylor cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

A big strike lands for Taylor! That's really hurt Gap and he's turned his back - Taylor keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Taylor jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
