Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anton Egorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anton Egorov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anthony Sanders!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Egorov on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Sanders throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Egorov.
Sanders misses with an uppercut. Egorov saw that one coming.
Egorov takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Sanders tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Egorov was well out of range. Poor timing from Sanders.
Egorov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Egorov leaves Sanders with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanders throws a shot to the body.
Sanders lunges at Egorov with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Egorov's hand.
Egorov goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Egorov moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Some wild striking there from Sanders.
Sanders fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Egorov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Sanders shoots in and gets a takedown into Egorov's guard.
Egorov is adopting a defensive guard.

Egorov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sanders doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sanders manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Egorov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sanders is aware though and is defending well.

Sanders tries to free his leg and advance position but Egorov is retaining full guard.
Egorov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Anthony Sanders wasn't active enough on the ground.

Egorov tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Sanders swings for the body but Egorov moves out of range.

Sanders lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Egorov thows a leg kick but Sanders checks it
and Sanders counters with a nice uppercut.
Egorov lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Egorov pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Sanders lands the left hand.

Egorov avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Sanders throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Egorov's waist but Egorov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sanders off to one side.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sanders.

Egorov looks to score with a jab to the body but Sanders is just out of range.
Sanders swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sanders throws a looping overhand right but Egorov ducks down to avoid it.

Egorov has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sanders finds it's way round the side to connect with Egorov's head.

Egorov moves out of range as Sanders strikes.

and Egorov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Sanders changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Egorov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Egorov is looking for a sweep.

Anthony Sanders showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sanders lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Egorov has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Egorov and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Sanders closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sanders throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Sanders is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Egorov is trying to get back to full guard.
Egorov is looking to control Sanders's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Egorov avoid being mounted?
Anton Egorov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Anthony Sanders is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Egorov is staying active underneath Sanders, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Egorov swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Sanders counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Egorov thinking.
Sanders looks to land a left hand but Egorov moved out of range nicely.
Sanders takes a swing at Egorov's ribcage but misses.
Sanders scores with a sloppy right hand. Egorov should have avoided that one.
Egorov falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sanders counters with a stiff right hand.
Egorov lands a head kick. Sanders smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

and Sanders counters with a straight right hand.

Egorov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sanders was well out of range. Poor timing from Egorov.

Anthony Sanders comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sanders has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
