Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frank Harris!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ribeiro bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ribeiro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harris keeps working.
Ribeiro looking to control but instead Harris has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Ribeiro is just content to waste time from the top position. Harris takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Ribeiro trying to control the position from guard on top but Harris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ribeiro decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Harris, up you get!
Harris wants to clinch up but Ribeiro keeps it at a distance.

Harris feints and as Ribeiro raises his hands in defense, Harris changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Harris drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ribeiro looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ribeiro looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ribeiro!

Ribeiro decides to stand up, so the ref orders Harris to his feet.
Harris tries to clinch up but Ribeiro circles away and keeps his distance.

and Ribeiro decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Harris's guard.

Harris is working an open guard so Ribeiro takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Ribeiro counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Harris's guard now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nicolas Ribeiro.
Harris shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ribeiro as he jumps to the side.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ribeiro is looking to stall here but Harris recovers full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Frank Harris showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

and Ribeiro counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ribeiro.

Ribeiro successfully pulls guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ribeiro is on top in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ribeiro accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ribeiro passes Harris's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ribeiro working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Harris's thigh. Harris counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Harris working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ribeiro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ribeiro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Harris looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Ribeiro makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Harris is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ribeiro rolls with it to try and escape but Harris cranks on the arm and Ribeiro is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
