Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Colby Cauliflower! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evan D! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cauliflower shoots for a double leg takedown but D sprawls well. He's pushed Cauliflower's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
D changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cauliflower looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
D tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no D has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Cauliflower throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
D is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Cauliflower looks calm but he's in trouble here. D gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Cauliflower is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! D lets go of the hold and Cauliflower can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Evan D!
