Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renan Aziz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aziz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lima is fending him off so far but Aziz persists. Nope, Lima circles away and we're back to standing.
Lima keeps the fight on the outside.
Aziz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lima swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lima darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Lima looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Aziz is trying to stand back up but Lima is controlling him
Aziz won't allow Lima to pass to mount.
Lima is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Aziz sees it coming and defends easily.
Lima seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Aziz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Lima is stalling here. Aziz is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Lima seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Aziz has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

and Lima counters with a head kick. That will keep Aziz thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Lima bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

and Lima holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

and Lima counters with a head kick. That will keep Aziz thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Lima closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Aziz to the mat! Aziz manages to get full guard.
Lima not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Lima stands and steps away. Aziz gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Lima throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Aziz was covering up waiting for the punch and Lima finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Aziz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lima defends well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lima stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aziz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Lima wants to finish this one by submission but Aziz is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lima.

Lima throws some wild stikes that Aziz manages to avoid easily.

Well Lima has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
