The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruno misses with a double jab.
Filipovic closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bruno to the mat! Bruno manages to get full guard.
Bruno throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Bruno keeping moving, preventing Filipovic from controlling successfully.
Filipovic drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bruno dives on top into guard.
Filipovic is looking for a triangle here but Bruno uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Horrible takedown by Bruno or perhaps it was just good defense by Filipovic which made him look bad.

Filipovic wants a takedown.
Filipovic has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bruno is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Bruno has clasped his hands together around Filipovic's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Bruno cracks Filipovic with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Bruno throws a low kick, looking for Filipovic's leg but Filipovic calmly moves out of range.
Bruno throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bruno tries for a takedown but Filipovic circles away easily
and Filipovic counters with a three punch combo that has Bruno backing up. Bruno nods at Filipovic to acknowledge the strikes.
Bruno shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Filipovic as he avoids it easily.

Filipovic will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bruno is keen to just control but Filipovic is a slippery customer.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Filipovic slaps away a takedown attempt from Bruno, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Filipovic throws a right hand that Bruno ducks under and follows up with a left that Bruno also avoids with ease.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bruno shoots in but Filipovic avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A head kick misses from Bruno.
Filipovic shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bruno is trying to defend but Filipovic finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Bruno is trying to stand.
Filipovic is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bruno has managed to free his arm - good work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Daniel Bruno dominated that round.
That's time! Filipovic's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Filipovic scores with a one two! Bruno had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Bruno tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Filipovic throws a right and a left that Bruno avoids nicely.
Bruno moves out of range of the body kick.
Filipovic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mirko Filipovic is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Filipovic lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bruno circles away quickly and effectively.
Bruno misses with a wild body shot.
Bruno closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bruno lands in his opponent's guard.
Bruno sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Filipovic's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Filipovic tries to hold on but Bruno postures up.
Bruno pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Filipovic tries to lock up and control but Bruno gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Daniel Bruno has got the better of the ground game so far.
Filipovic is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Filipovic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bruno on the ground.
Bruno working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Filipovic turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Bruno off and cradles Filipovic's limp body as Bruno celebrates with his corner.
