Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kongo Hatoky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masuhura Taganaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hatoky might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to MAMMA AFRICA!!. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kongo Hatoky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masuhura Taganaki! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hatoky shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Taganaki has his takedown stuffed and Hatoky counters with a shoot takedown. Taganaki fights it but they end up in guard. Taganaki controls Hatoky momentarily but Hatoky frees himself. Hatoky throwing strikes but missing. Hatoky trying to control the position from guard on top but Taganaki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hatoky slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Hatoky is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Taganaki is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Taganaki is looking to reverse the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatoky throws a strike aimed at the side of Taganaki's head but Taganaki avoids it well. Hatoky working away. Hatoky tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hatoky wants to control but Taganaki is keeping him busy. Hatoky will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hatoky in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Taganaki is trying to control Hatoky's posture but Hatoky avoids it. Hatoky fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Hatoky really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Taganaki has his takedown stuffed and Hatoky counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hatoky is looking for a kimura here.
Hatoky is pressing down on Taganaki's thigh, looking to free his foot. Taganaki is holding on for now. Hatoky is breathing heavily. Taganaki has a hand on Hatoky's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Hatoky takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Taganaki tries to lock up and control but Hatoky gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Taganaki is squirming around, avoiding Hatoky's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taganaki working to try and regain half guard.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hatoky cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Hatoky looking to control and managing it successfully. Taganaki wants to control but Hatoky is having none of it. Hatoky with a couple of short strikes. Taganaki is squirming around, avoiding Hatoky's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hatoky is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Taganaki can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Hatoky dominating with strikes here. Taganaki tries to hold on but Hatoky pushes him away. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Taganaki is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Taganaki takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Taganaki tries to hold on but Hatoky postures up. Hatoky connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kongo Hatoky dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Taganaki doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hatoky counters with a shoot takedown. Taganaki fights it but they end up in guard. Hatoky stands and throws Taganaki's legs to the side, diving into side control. Hatoky working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Taganaki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hatoky. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Taganaki is looking for a sweep. You can see the frustration on Taganaki's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Kongo Hatoky overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hatoky wants to control but Taganaki is keeping him busy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taganaki prevents Hatoky from improving position. Hatoky wants to control but Taganaki is keeping him busy. Taganaki tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Hatoky easily slips into full mount! Taganaki in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Taganaki tries to reverse the position but Hatoky maintains control. Taganaki wants to hold on but Hatoky pushes him away.

Hatoky looking for a guillotine from mount but Taganaki is having none of it. Taganaki tries to reverse the position but Hatoky maintains control. Hatoky is working for a guillotine from mount but Taganaki frees his head quite easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Hatoky. Hatoky has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hatoky controlling his opponent. Hatoky working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Taganaki turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Hatoky off and cradles Taganaki's limp body as Hatoky celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Kongo Hatoky!
