The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ironblade throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Erickson throws a right and a left that Ironblade avoids nicely.
Erickson scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Ironblade tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Erickson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Erickson rushes Ironblade and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Erickson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Ironblade fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ironblade is trying to drag Erickson to the mat but Erickson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Ironblade tries for a takedown but Erickson manages to get underhooks.

Ironblade tightens his grip and picks Erickson up, before dumping him to the ground. Erickson manages to land in guard.

Erickson rushes Ironblade and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ironblade prevents Erickson from breaking the clinch.
Ironblade drops down looking for an ankle pick but Erickson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ironblade is breathing heavily.
Erickson throws a series of punches but Ironblade avoids them all with ease.
The fighters circle momentarily. Erickson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Ironblade walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

and Erickson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ironblade thinking.
Erickson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ironblade pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Erickson tries to bum rush Ironblade with a series of wild strikes but Ironblade uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Erickson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No joy there for Erickson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Erickson is pressed up against the cage. Ironblade has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Erickson down to the mat. Erickson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Ironblade is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Erickson.

Erickson scores with a hook to the body. Ironblade takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Erickson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ironblade.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Erickson digs a good body shot into Ironblade's ribs.
Erickson stalks Ironblade and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ironblade's face. Ironblade staggers backwards, shaken.
Ironblade walks into a stiff left hand from Erickson.
Erickson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Carson Ironblade has been cut.

Erickson jumps guard and drags Ironblade to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Erickson pulls Ironblade in close to his closed guard and prevents Ironblade from doing any damage or advancing position.

Erickson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ironblade rolls with it to try and escape but Erickson cranks on the arm and Ironblade is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
