Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Do (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonny Do!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Earl Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jacobs bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Do wants to control but Jacobs postures up.
Do manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Do wants to improve his position but Jacobs is controlling well.
Do avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jacobs.
Do wants to get back to full guard.
Do on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Jacobs should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Do is trying to maintain the position but Jacobs is very close to passing his half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Do has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jacobs is trying to keep an underhook but Do manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Do thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jacobs's head.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Do wants to pass the guard but Jacobs is defending well.

Jacobs escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Do gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Do won't allow Jacobs to sweep him here.
Jacobs is trying to keep Do in close.
Do landing with the ground and pound.
Jacobs is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Do regains full guard. Nicely done.

Do is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Jacobs lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Do is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jacobs tries to get to full guard but Do has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jacobs is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Do scoring with strikes to the body and head.

Jacobs is staying active underneath Do, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jonny Do will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Jacobs shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Do defends it nicely.

Do shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Do missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Do escapes and gets back to his feet.
Do tries to clinch but Jacobs moves out of range.
Do is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Do clinches up with Jacobs and pushes him back against the cage.
Jacobs tries for a takedown but Do manages to get underhooks.
Do prevents the takedown attempt.
Jonny Do has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Earl Jacobs.
Jacobs is breathing heavily.

Jacobs is fighting off a takedown attempt but Do is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jacobs to the mat. Jacobs regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Jacobs is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Do defends well.
Do chips away with some ground and pound.

Do works over Jacobs with some ground and pound from guard.
Jacobs has momentary wrist control but Do slips an elbow through the middle.
Do wants to control from the top but Jacobs keeps moving.

Do lands a couple of elbows.
Jacobs manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Do manages to get himself to full guard.
Jacobs must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Do trying to keep a closed guard but Jacobs is proving a slippery customer.

Do is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jacobs is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Do escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jacobs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jacobs connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Do some visible discomfort.
Jacobs tries to move to mount but Do blocks the move with his legs.
You can see the frustration on Do's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Do is looking for a sweep.

Do takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Do here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Do is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jacobs connects with a decent elbow.
Jacobs scores with a couple of short elbows.
Do wants to get back to his feet.
Jacobs working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Do is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Do has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jacobs is working away from the top position though.
Jacobs takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Do cracks Jacobs with a solid left hand.
Do has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jacobs is proving hard to escape from.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Jacobs has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Do should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Jacobs has tightened it up now! Do should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
