The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monteiro is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Monteiro defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lilja.
Lilja shoots in but Monteiro avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Monteiro throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lilja was covering up waiting for the punch and Monteiro finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Horrible takedown by Monteiro or perhaps it was just good defense by Lilja which made him look bad.
