Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Callahan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seppo Seppo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Seppo Seppo!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Callahan throws a right hand that Seppo ducks under and follows up with a left that Seppo also avoids with ease.
Callahan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Callahan wants it to stay on the feet.

Callahan stuffs the takedown attempt from Seppo. Seppo gets slowly back to his feet.
Seppo needs to keep his hands up - Callahan had a free shot at his head there.

Callahan cracks Seppo with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Callahan has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Seppo to stand back up!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Callahan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Seppo has escaped the position, nice work there.

Callahan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Seppo is looking to escape.
Callahan wants to take Seppo's back but he can't do it this time.
Seppo tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Seppo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Callahan lands a big shot there that rocks Seppo but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Callahan breaks from Seppo's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Seppo tries to hold on but Callahan pushes him away.

Callahan lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Seppo tries to control Callahan's body but Callahan pushes him off. Seppo squirms to his side and now Callahan has his back!

Seppo is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Seppo is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Callahan gets his way!

Seppo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Callahan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Callahan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Seppo is desperately trying to improve his position but Callahan has a good base and remains in mount.
Seppo is bucking up trying to escape but Callahan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Callahan avoids the attempt from Seppo to control.
Callahan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Seppo looks a forlorn figure.

Callahan looking to control but Seppo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Seppo is wriggling around trying to escape.
Seppo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Callahan is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Seppo is defending well though. Callahan let's go of the attempt for now.

Seppo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Callahan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Callahan lands a left and a right that send Seppo crashing to the mat, dazed. Callahan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Seppo is still on wobbly legs! Can Callahan finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Callahan throws a series of punches but Seppo avoids them all with ease.
Seppo seems to have recovered his senses.

Seppo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Callahan tries to avoid it but Seppo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Callahan to the ground. Callahan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Thomas Callahan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seppo Seppo.
No joy there for Callahan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Callahan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Callahan drops Seppo with a beautiful combination! Seppo stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Callahan is looking for the KO!
Seppo gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Callahan throws an overhand right that drops Seppo like a sack of potatoes! Callahan dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
