Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mariano Zamora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vadim Lavrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vadim Lavrov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mariano Zamora!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vadim Lavrov!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lavrov checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Zamora tries to work over Lavrov's front leg with a kick but Lavrov checks it.
Zamora misses with a low kick.
Lavrov throws a nice outside leg kick.
Mariano Zamora seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lavrov misses the shot to the body.
Lavrov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Zamora stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Zamora chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lavrov can pounce on him.
Zamora throws a leg kick
and Lavrov counters with a one-two to the body.
Zamora really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Lavrov clinches.
A right hand to the body from Lavrov.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lavrov unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Zamora is breathing heavily.
Lavrov scores with a hook to the body.
Lavrov works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Zamora takes a knee to the side of the body.
A short body shot lands from Lavrov as the two fighters clinch.
Lavrov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lavrov connects with a solid leg kick.
Lavrov connects with a right hand. Zamora shakes it off.
Lavrov feints and then cracks Zamora's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Zamora down.
Lavrov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Zamora keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zamora tries to move into range but Lavrov moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lavrov works Zamora's body with a nice hook.
Zamora stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lavrov.
Lavrov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lavrov cracks Zamora with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Zamora is rocked!
Lavrov rushes Zamora and presses him up against the ropes.
Oh Zamora is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Lavrov obliges.
Zamora seems to have got his legs back now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lavrov creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Zamora with a big uppercut! Zamora tries to clinch up but Lavrov pushes him back against the ropes and lands another moster strike that crumples Zamora to the mat! Zamora covers up and Lavrov unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Vadim Lavrov!
