Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Lingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tupac Shakur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shakur has chosen Fuck You as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Lingston! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tupac Shakur! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lingston shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shakur pinned against the cage. Shakur gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Shakur fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lingston sprawls well initially but Shakur persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Shakur controlling the pace. Shakur not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Shakur content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Lingston is trying to stand.
Lingston wants to get back to full guard. Shakur performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Lingston has hold of Shakur's hands but Shakur slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lingston regains full guard. Nicely done. Shakur trying to control but Lingston is working from the bottom. Shakur thows a big elbow that misses. Shakur is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shakur throwing strikes from guard but Lingston blocks nicely. Lingston working for a triangle but Shakur defends it easily.
Shakur is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lingston is looking for a triangle but Shakur pushes his legs off easily.
Lingston is breathing heavily. Lingston tries to land a sweep but no joy. Shakur controls the pace of the fight for a moment. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shakur accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Shakur working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Shakur sitting in guard, not really doing much. I looks like Shakur might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tupac Shakur. Shakur fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shakur decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Shakur decides to return to a standing position. Shakur tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Shakur drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Lingston is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Shakur must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Shakur sitting in guard, not really doing much. Lingston trying to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Shakur tries to bum rush Lingston with a series of wild strikes but Lingston uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Shakur looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shakur looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Lingston has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lingston is trying to maintain the position but Shakur is very close to passing his half guard. Shakur drops an elbow to the side of Lingston's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tupac Shakur dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Shakur shoots in for a takedown but Lingston shows good takedown defense. The fight stays on the outside here - Shakur looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lingston tries to clinch but Shakur is having none of it. Lingston shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shakur pinned against the cage. Shakur gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Lingston gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Shakur to score an easy takedown into full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lingston is on top in guard.
Shakur thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Shakur looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Shakur throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shakur throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Shakur has his hands on Lingston's head, controlling the position. Lingston trying to control the position from guard on top but Shakur is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shakur looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lingston working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Shakur shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lingston sprawls well. Lingston wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shakur gets slowly back to his feet. Lingston tries to clinch there but Shakur circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lingston shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shakur counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Shakur. Lingston could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Shakur trying to control but Lingston is working from the bottom. Tupac Shakur has got the better of the ground game so far. Lingston trying to control the position.
Lingston might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shakur is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Lingston is trying to control the position but Shakur postures up. Shakur makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Shakur not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Shakur shoots and misses and Lingston counters with an inside leg kick. Mike Lingston has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tupac Shakur. Lingston tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Lingston doesn't succeed with the takedown and Shakur counters with a shoot takedown. Lingston fights it but they end up in guard. Shakur stands up over Lingston, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Shakur showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Shakur throws a strike but Lingston rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Shakur tries to strike from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lingston wants to control from the top but Shakur keeps moving. Shakur thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Shakur keeping moving, preventing Lingston from controlling successfully. Shakur lands an upkick as Lingston stands over him. Lingston trying to control but Shakur is working from the bottom. Shakur had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lingston defends it easily. Lingston tries to free his leg and advance position but Shakur is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tupac Shakur showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

He's got his arms around Lingston's waist but Lingston gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shakur off to one side. Shakur shoots in for a takedown but Lingston shows good takedown defense. Lingston swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Shakur has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Shakur looking to sit in guard and control but Lingston gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lingston works a leg free and moves into half guard. Lingston blocks the strikes from Shakur.
