Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Antonio Silva enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royce Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Silva! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva shoots in but Gracie avoids the takedown attempt easily. Gracie drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Gracie forces his way into half guard. Gracie is looking for a kimura here.
Gracie trying to control from half guard but Silva is working away. Gracie with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Gracie works his way into full mount! Silva is controlling an arm, preventing Gracie from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie wants to finish this one by submission but Silva is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gracie. Silva has given up his back.
Gracie scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Silva is looking for a way out. Silva looks gassed! Silva fending off the submission attempt from Gracie. Gracie wants to control the position but Silva frees himself and scrambles - Gracie manages to regain control in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva wants to control but Gracie postures up. Silva is trying to get back to his feet. Gracie advances to mount. Gracie goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Silva is on top in guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Gracie is striking but Silva is not phased and passes to half guard. Gracie wants to improve his position but Silva is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though. Gracie actively working from the bottom here. Gracie wants to get back to full guard but Silva has passed into side control. Silva prevents Gracie from getting the reversal. Gracie regains half guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Silva wants to stand but Gracie is controlling his posture from full guard. Gracie throws a nice elbow from the bottom. Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard. Gracie is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva can't keep his opponent in guard - Gracie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Gracie is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gracie to get the leverage. Still in half guard, Gracie seems content to control. Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold. Gracie controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silva fails in his attempt to clinch. Gracie decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Gracie is tying to control. Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Gracie works his foot free and advances to mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gracie swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Silva is now in Gracie's guard. A big mistake from Gracie there, giving up the dominant position! Silva stopping the sweep attempt from Gracie.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva wants to stand but Gracie has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Silva won't allow Gracie to sweep him here. Gracie keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully. Gracie looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gracie working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Silva. Silva stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Silva misses with a head kick.

Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Silva counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gracie won't be happy with that. Silva working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Gracie is trying to get back to half guard. Gracie can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie tries to improve position but can't. Gracie gets back to half guard. Gracie is positioning himself well to prevent Silva advancing to mount. Gracie works his way to full guard. Good work. Gracie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Silva! Gracie controlling from mount. Gracie is trying to take his opponent's back.

Silva stops Gracie from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Gracie content just to control the position here. Gracie seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Silva is holding on tight.
Gracie lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Silva hang on? Silva is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Royce Gracie will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Gracie goes for an armbar but Silva turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Silva. Gracie is controlling Silva's posture. Royce Gracie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gracie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there. Gracie thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gracie is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Silva wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
