The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sarturi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
ahr is trying is best to control the position here.
ahr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sarturi is working away from the top position though.

ahr is trying to maintain the position but Sarturi is very close to passing his half guard.

ahr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of serenity ahr.

ahr feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

ahr gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Sarturi regains guard.
Sarturi wants to stand and escape but ahr is having none of it.
ahr wants to pass the guard but Sarturi is keeping the position.

ahr decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sarturi, up you get!

ahr shoots in and bounces Sarturi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Sarturi is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and ahr dives into side control.

ahr gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

ahr throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sarturi was covering up waiting for the punch and ahr finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Sarturi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. ahr stacks Sarturi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by ahr!
This has been an exciting period of action!

serenity ahr overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

You can see the frustration on Sarturi's face as ahr controls the position.
ahr has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
