Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Parker! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dynamo MacKenzie! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacKenzie fails with a takedown attempt. Parker looks to land a left hand but MacKenzie moved out of range nicely. Parker fails with the takedown. MacKenzie tries to clinch there but Parker circles away.
MacKenzie has his takedown stuffed and Parker makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Parker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Parker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Parker thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed MacKenzie's head. MacKenzie has hold of Parker's hands but Parker slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Parker scoring with strikes to the body and head. Parker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Parker trying to mount his opponent but MacKenzie defends it. Parker works his way into side control. Parker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for MacKenzie on the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. MacKenzie is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Parker has just dragged him back down to the mat. MacKenzie looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker trying to control the position but MacKenzie is working away. The strikes coming from Parker are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Parker scores with punches from side control. Parker trying to control the position but MacKenzie is working away. MacKenzie is working to avoid the ground and pound but Parker connects with a decent elbow. MacKenzie wants to get back to his feet but Parker drags him back down. Parker misses with the ground and pound. Parker tries to advance to mount but MacKenzie denies him. MacKenzie pushes Parker away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Parker gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. MacKenzie parries the strikes from Parker easily there. Parker is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable MacKenzie to escape.
Parker wants to lay and pray for a moment but MacKenzie keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MacKenzie taking a bit of punishment here - Parker scoring with strikes. Parker trying to control the action but MacKenzie is working from the bottom. Parker is putting a hurting on MacKenzie here, landing some big shots from side control. MacKenzie throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Parker has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Parker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Parker misses with a hook. MacKenzie ducked under it nicely. MacKenzie doesn't succeed with the takedown and Parker counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for MacKenzie! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Parker landing punches. Parker landing strikes from the mount. Parker lands a heavy elbow.

MacKenzie is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Parker scoring with strikes but MacKenzie is staying in there. MacKenzie is squirming around, avoiding Parker's attempts to control the action. Parker lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Parker postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. MacKenzie looks a forlorn figure.

Frank Parker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Parker chips away with some ground and pound.
