Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kcee Cadwallader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Marcurius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kcee Cadwallader has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kcee Cadwallader!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Marcurius!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cadwallader steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Marcurius.

Marcurius misses with a series of wild punches.
Marcurius is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Marcurius rushes Cadwallader and presses him up against the cage.
Cadwallader wants to stall.

Cadwallader manages to break the clinch.
Cadwallader moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Cadwallader gets a takedown into half guard.
Cadwallader perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Cadwallader is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Marcurius!
Marcurius is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marcurius really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cadwallader. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cadwallader's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cadwallader slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Cadwallader has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Marcurius has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cadwallader is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Marcurius defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Marcurius can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kcee Cadwallader just wasn't active enough.
Cadwallader shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Marcurius as he jumps to the side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcurius is doing well to control the position and prevent Cadwallader from advancing to side control.

Kcee Cadwallader has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Cadwallader has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Marcurius avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kcee Cadwallader. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cadwallader closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Marcurius did well to prevent Cadwallader getting side control.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Cadwallader is looking to take a break and control but Marcurius is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

We're going to have a standup here because Kcee Cadwallader wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Marcurius throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Marcurius rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cadwallader moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Cadwallader will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Marcurius shoots in but no luck this time.

Cadwallader shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Marcurius napping and manages to drive through into side control!
You can see the frustration on Marcurius's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Cadwallader lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Marcurius down.

Marcurius stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Marcurius wants it to stay on the feet.
Marcurius tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cadwallader paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Alexander Marcurius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kcee Cadwallader.
Marcurius shoots in looking for a takedown. Cadwallader tries to sprawl out of it but Marcurius keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cadwallader manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Marcurius counters with a three punch combo that has Cadwallader backing up. Cadwallader nods at Marcurius to acknowledge the strikes.

Kcee Cadwallader showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cadwallader, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
