Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fletcher tries to clinch but Goat is having none of it.
Nice sprawl there from Goat as Fletcher shoots in.
Goat rushes Fletcher and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Goat breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Goat moves in looking to clinch but Fletcher pushes him off.
Goat darts in and clinches Fletcher up against the ropes.
Goat with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Amare Fletcher has been cut.
Goat pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Goat scores with a takedown into Fletcher's guard.

and Goat counters with a left and a right that stings Fletcher.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Goat bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fletcher's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fletcher can do anything to dispel that myth.
Goat drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Goat jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Goat wants to control the pace but Fletcher is squirming around nicely.

Fletcher pulls Goat in close to prevent any damage.
Fletcher throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Goat escapes and throws Fletcher's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Fletcher takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Goat is looking to take a break and control but Fletcher is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

LLV Goat overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Goat slows the pace down.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of LLV Goat.

and Goat counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Fletcher tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Goat smiles and moves away.

Goat is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fletcher sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
LLV Goat is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Goat tests Fletcher's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Goat throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fletcher was covering up waiting for the punch and Goat finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Goat will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fletcher holds on and takes a little breather.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Goat would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
