Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diego Brito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Plybon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Diego Brito! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Plybon! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Plybon has Brito up against the cage in a clinch.
Brito wants a takedown but no success here.
Brito is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Plybon tries a knee to the head but Brito blocks it.
Plybon tries to pull guard but Brito holds him up against the cage and eventually Plybon drops back down to his feet.
Plybon gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Brito.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Brito. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Plybon tries to pull guard but Brito won't allow it.

It looks like Diego Brito has been cut. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Plybon obliges. Plybon wants to stall.
Plybon manages to break the clinch.
Plybon fails to land the takedown. Plybon throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Plybon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Plybon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brito tries to avoid it but Plybon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brito to the ground. Brito escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Brito walks forward, straight into a front kick from Plybon. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Plybon.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brito avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Plybon tries to clinch up. A big left from Brito misses. Plybon closes the distance and clinches. Brito drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Brito is breathing heavily. Plybon stops a takedown attempt from Brito.
Plybon fails to pull guard.
Plybon lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Plybon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brito fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Plybon tries to close the distance and clinch but Brito swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Plybon gets a clinch. Plybon pulls guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brito wants to control from the top but Plybon keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brito scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Brito has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Plybon keeping full guard, as Brito tries to pass. Brito decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Plybon, up you get! Plybon shoots in looking for a takedown. Brito tries to sprawl out of it but Plybon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brito manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Brito moves in looking to clinch but Plybon pushes him off. Plybon tries to clinch there but Brito circles away.
Brito shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Brito got a little sloppy there for a moment and Plybon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brito has managed to get both his arms back between Plybon's legs - danger averted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Plybon trying to keep a closed guard but Brito is proving a slippery customer.
Brito trying to control but Plybon is working from the bottom. Brito tries to stand but Plybon is controlling from the bottom. Brito stopping the sweep attempt from Plybon.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Brito won't allow Plybon to get back to his feet. Brito trying to control but Plybon is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Plybon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Brito shoots for a takedown but Plybon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Plybon tries to close the distance and clinch but Brito swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Plybon shoots in but Brito avoids the takedown attempt easily. Plybon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brito sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Plybon somewhat. Plybon closes the distance but Brito moves to the side and Brito counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Plybon's guard now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Diego Brito will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Diego Brito's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brito is defended easily by Plybon. Brito misses the jab. Plybon has his takedown stuffed and Brito counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Plybon wants to control but Brito is keeping busy.
Brito controlling the pace. Brito scoring with strikes to the body and head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Plybon wants to get back to his feet.

Brito in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Plybon tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Brito!
