Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gio Jazz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Daley's choice of entrance music: Dragonforce-Heroes of our time. Paul Daley will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gio Jazz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Paul Daley! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Chad Campbell and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jazz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Daley napping and manages to drive through into side control! Jazz working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Jazz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Daley is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Daley defending against the ground and pound. Daley dodges the ground and pound from Jazz. Jazz looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Daley is avoiding damage well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The ground and pound from Jazz seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Daley is looking for a sweep. Jazz working the strikes but Daley uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Daley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jazz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jazz is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jazz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Jazz. Jazz slows the pace down. Daley taking punishment in the form of punches.
Jazz in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Jazz cracks Daley with a big right hand but Daley just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Daley is rocked! Jazz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jazz cracks Daley with a big right hand but Daley just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Daley is still in real trouble! Can Jazz finish him? Jazz scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Daley is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Jazz can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gio Jazz!
